2021 Michael's Reserve Petite Sirah

Hames Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Monterey County, CA, and is part of the largest Monterey AVA. Due to its location at the southern end of the Salinas Valley, the warmer climate makes it an exceptional place to cultivate grapes while sheltering the vines from the Pacific Ocean winds. The loam soil enables grapes to grow with intense, bold flavors. Petite Sirah flourishes in the area, producing a dry, full-boided wine with high tannins and medium acidity. On the nose and palate, this vintage offers intriguing dark fruits, black pepper, and dark chocolate with hints of herbal notes and black tea.
